Hi! I’m Megan
I’m an artist and designer living in Northern Illinois with my family, our husky, and two cats.
I love creating. My biggest inspiration is trying to capture those occasional fleeting moments of magic we experience in everyday life, when it almost feels as though we’ve entered a different reality.
My work has a dreamy, often ethereal feeling, and is greatly inspired by nature, geometry, mythology, astrology, energy, and animals. Color and light are both huge fascinations for me and I adore a rich, deep jewel tone color palette.
When I’m not making art I can be found taking my dog on loooooooong walks so she doesn’t eat the furniture, gardening, at the archery range, or trying out new recipes.
Where does the name megandowntherabbithole come from?
It’s all about inspiration…that first glimmer of an idea that you just HAVE to chase. It may be a long curious voyage, and you can never be totally sure where it’s going to take you, but you have no choice except to follow.
